Connecting your RoundlyX account to your Uphold account is quick and easy. First, we will outline how to create a new Uphold account, and then we will outline how to connect your new account, or an existing account, to RoundlyX.
If you already have an Uphold account, skip down to “Connecting Your Uphold Account to RoundlyX.”
Creating a New Uphold Account
Click this link or the “+ Add Connection” button on your RoundlyX Dashboard, followed by “Create New” to get started creating your new Uphold account. You’ll be prompted to enter your name, email address, and country of origin. Accept the terms and conditions, and click next.
On the next screen, you’ll need to complete Uphold’s Know Your Customer (KYC) process. Enter your personal information, then click next, and then confirm.
Next, you’ll be prompted to set up two-factor authentication. You can change this from SMS to Google Authenticator or Authy after setup, which we highly recommend. 2-Factor Authentication with an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password is more secure than SMS. Be Safe! Secure your accounts with an app instead of SMS text message.
The next screen on Uphold will prompt you to complete more KYC information. Once you finish this section, you’ll need to verify your email address with Uphold.
After verifying your email, you’ll see a new screen asking you to submit some ID documents before funding your account. You can either scan the QR code with your phone, or have a link texted to you. Click “I consent” on the next screen.
You’ll be asked to take photos of your government issued ID on the next screen. Follow the prompts to submit this information, and then you’ll be free to fund your Uphold account! Don’t forget to add a bank account to your Uphold exchange in order for roundups to go through successfully.
In order to claim your referral bonus and to make sure your roundups begin, you need to add a payment method in Uphold.
Connecting Your Uphold Account to RoundlyX
Log into your RoundlyX Dashboard, and you will see “+ Add Connection.” Click that button and then click the “connect” button under the Uphold tile.
A new window will open prompting you to sign in to your Uphold account to authorize RoundlyX to make round-ups on your behalf. Use your Uphold login credentials here. Make sure to complete the CAPTCHA, and enter any two-factor authentication codes.
You may also be prompted to verify the connection through your email. Check your inbox, and click the link Uphold sent to verify the new device and connection. Return to your RoundlyX Dashboard, and you should see one final “Authorize” button. Click it, and you should see a “Uphold account connected successfully” notification.
You’re all done! Uphold round-up thresholds are $15 to minimize fees. Once you have accumulated $15 worth of round-ups, your first purchase will be made!
